"Go as far as you can - where the crawdads sing. It means far into the wilderness, where all creatures are wild and still behave like animals."

The descriptions of the mysterious swamp take the reader to a wild and untouched place unknown to many people. Just as wild, Kaya, "The Marsh Girl" grows up in this environment. She is abandoned by her mother, who seeks salvation far from home, then by all her brothers and sisters, and finally by her father. Despite all the difficulties, Kaya never loses her faith, relies on the forces of nature and becomes part of it. Of course, outside the marsh there are malicious people who try to hurt her, but also a few who want to protect her.

An extremely beautiful story that also includes a criminal case.

"Let's face it, love doesn't last long in most cases. But even when it doesn't work out, it connects you to other people and in the end, that's what you're left with - the relationships."

"Why should the wounded, still covered in blood, bear the burden of forgiveness?"

" Gave another piece of himself just to have someone around him in return."
